It's the Fourth of July holiday weekend and if you're looking for something to take the family to, look no further.
The city of Ripley is all decked out in red, white, and blue as they prepare to celebrate Independence Day all weekend.
Ripley claims to have the largest small town Independence Day celebration in America. On Monday festivities begin at 10 in the morning with the parade to begin at noon. Last year the grand marshal was our very own Mark Martin and this year the mayor will lead the parade.
She says there's no better place to be on our nation's birthday.
“There's no reason not to come because we have so much to offer everybody,” said Ripley Mayor Carolyn Rader.
And the celebration doesn't end on Monday. The United States Army band will play a free concert honoring World War II veterans Wednesday on the courthouse lawn beginning at 7:30 in the evening.
